We are pleased to announce a new Toronto Delphi User Group meeting in honour of Delphi’s 20th anniversary.
Warren Postma is a long time Delphi user, has worked for Embarcadero and is currently an Embarcadero MVP. He will be taking a look at Delphi’s history and evolution, recent advances, where it stands today and even a little bit about where it’s going.
Come out and share your stories.
Tuesday, February 24, 2015
Toronto Northern District Library – 40 Orchard View Blvd
6:00PM to 8:00PM
Please RSVP so we know how many people to expect.
I will come.
Thanks so much for this get together .
Interested in Delphi vs. Appstudio
Do you mean Appmethod?
If so, then think of Appmethod as a subset of Rad Studio, but with a different licensing model. Instead of buying upgrades, it is licensed per platform per year.
http://www.appmethod.com/
It looks like AppMethod does not include VCL, Fire components only.
That’s right. AppMethod is FireMonkey only and does not include the VCL.
It’s essentially being marketed to mobile developers, even though it can also target Windows and Mac.
Will attend…
Thank you! I am in.
I am in.
I’ll be there.
Would you consider emailing the old TDUG list? I think a lot of people will have missed this blog.
The announcement was sent out to the most recent mailing list that we have and to some additional people who asked to be informed, but had not subscribed.
All the same, I will investigate further and see if there are additional names that were never added. Thanks for the suggestion.
I didn’t receive this email, the last I received was from Wayne (TDUG administrator) on Jan. 2.
I e-mailed you directly. Please reply here if you did not receive it.
I’ve missed it.
I’ve thought it will be 28, not 24…
Will there be meetings in the future?
Delphi is still alive – I am still developing with Delphi 6, now planning to move to XE7 😉
There will absolutely be future meetings. Stay tuned for announcements.
